AD News

Hello friends,

The year began in a beautiful way. I spent all of January in Bali, which gave me the quiet space to reset, write, and think about the year ahead. It was a meaningful way to begin what is already shaping up to be a very full season of music and travel.

A big milestone is coming soon. Side B of Songs I Was Raised On will be released on May 5th, which officially completes the entire double album. The next single from that side arrives April 10th, and you can pre-save it now if you’d like to hear it the moment it’s released. The first single from Side B, “Fire and Rain,” came out earlier this month and is streaming everywhere, featuring special guest Shane Hennessy. Click here to stream. Please share it and give it some love.

Right now I’m out of the country playing a handful of shows. Canada was a great success, and I’m grateful to everyone who came out and supported the music. When I return, I’ll be writing in Nashville for most of April, something I always look forward to.

Then in June I’ll be heading to Ireland for the month. I’ve rented a small cottage where I plan to rest, write, and take a few meetings about a new project I’m quietly formulating. Ireland has always been a place where ideas seem to find me, so I’m excited to see what unfolds while I’m there.

While I’m there, I’ll also begin writing a companion book to Mantra, something that has been living in my mind for a while now.

If you’d like to follow along with all of this in real time, be sure you’re signed up for my newsletter, where I share monthly updates from the road, the studio, and the quieter creative moments in between.

A few other things happening right now:

• One spot remains in the three U.S. private house concerts I’m offering around Songs I Was Raised On.
• I’ll soon be sharing my first composition of 2026.
• I’m also working on a work-for-hire writing project in the English hymn world, which has been a fascinating and unexpected creative detour.

On the merch side, we’ve added several new pieces connected to Songs I Was Raised On. You can now find T-shirts, tote bags, double vinyl, and CDs available.

And I have to say, 2026 has already been our biggest year yet for the Winter music. The support and the growth in monthly listeners truly blew my mind. Thank you for continuing to bring those songs into your homes year after year.

Looking ahead, I’ll also be launching a Patreon page soon, where I plan to share more of the monthly creative process. It will be a place to go deeper into the writing, studio sessions, touring life, healing work, and the travels that shape the music.

As always, thank you for being here and for following the music wherever it goes.

More soon,
Ashley

If you'd like, I can also help you tighten this slightly so it reads faster (which usually performs better for newsletters) while still keeping your voice. Right now it's good, but a small edit could increase engagement.
