Join us for an evening of song

Ease into the Labor Day weekend with an intimate concert in the beautiful historic home of Michel Loomis in Old West Lawrence!

Ashley Davis grew up in a music-filled house in Lawrence, where her parents imprinted her with the songs of artists such as Leonard Cohen, Joan Baez, John Denver, & Gordon Lightfoot. She’ll be performing covers of some of her favorites; you may have seen a version of this show in past years at the Lawrence Arts Center.

Over in Kilkenny, Mick McAuley was raised on traditional Irish music, and everyone in his family played an instrument. A multi-talent, this singer/songwriter plays the accordion, whistles, melodeon, concertina, and guitar. (Perhaps you heard Mick on the Crannua Collective album that Ashley spearheaded a few years ago.) Mick will share songs from his Irish childhood.

Date: August 30

Time: 7:30 pm

Where: 701 Louisiana Street

Donation for the artists (payable at the door): $20
